Poem space is a space where people who are excited about language in different ways can make contact with each other, experiment interdisciplinarily and develop strategies on how to make poetry more present in society. Poem space could be a physical space, a network of people or an agency for poetry mediators. It could be mobile and bring poetry to people in different places. Or all of these simultaneously.
The name „Poem Space“ comes from the game „Rhyme Time“ by Dr Seuss. There are two possible playing fields to land on: Rhyme Space and Poem Space. If you land on Poem Space you have to make a verse. Poem Space orientates itself on the origin of poetry - poein (gr.): to make, create something with language.
